Born in Hudiksvall, Sweden, at the time of 05.00 on the 8th of April 1978, it would soon become apparent that the young Klas Strom had a great talent for football. Klas went to football senior high school, and would still be found playing now if he had not discovered photography.
Klas moved to London in 1998 and studied photography at London College Of Fashion. Combining his studies with assisting photographers, he quickly progressed to setting up his own business. Since then, Klas has been working with clients such as Alan Paine, Molo kids, Harrods, Danske Bank, Rizzo, Asos, Oriflame and Westfield, to name but a few. Editorially, his work has been published in magazines such as Wallpaper, Wound, NK Stil, Harpers Bazaar, Allure, GQ and King. Today, he divides his time between his homes in Stockholm and London.
Besides photography, Klas enjoys wine and grilled halloumi cheese, the smell of the sea, bicycle riding, watching snooker, meeting people, visiting exhibitions and revelling in all the information an atlas can provide. Klas’ source of inspiration is film and travel and he thoroughly enjoys the work of the two extraordinary photographers, Joel Sternfeld and Robert Polidori.
